  • They are an actual country, duh! Leowatson, the reason is that Albanians inhabit most of Kosovo, in the neighbouring Serbia, and now that Bush is taking Kosovo from Serbia, Albanians in the region will surely benefit from it. That, I think, is the whole deal.

  • Miloshevich was a war criminal, but he had the green light from the US and many other countries before the first Balkans war (with Croatia). They expected him to get it over with quickly. When this didn't happened, the international community was forced to change their mind.

  • I'm not the left, but you are dead wrong if you think the motive for the independence of Kosovo is the benefit of the Albanians. They will benefit, but the main reason is creating another puppet state, and an enormous US-NATO military base in Kosovo, among other things.
